wikiHow Dreaming

There are several “life hacks” Christina Stuart does religiously at her house or on her own that she would love to share to the world. They are main ideas that are already on the Internet, but the three of hers are not up on wikiHow yet, and they have been tweaked in her own way. All three of her wikiHow ideas were made up from her own life experiences.

The first wikiHow idea is to how to get your dog to eat their dog food with coconut oil. Christina wanted to create this wikiHow for all of the dog owners out there that have had trouble getting their dog to eat. You can get your dog wet food to get them to eat. But, they will gain weight like crazy due to the unhealthy wet food. Instead of using wet food, you can replace it with coconut oil. Coconut oil is safe for dogs to eat and it’s very good for them. You mix the melted oil in with the dry food. Dogs go crazy for coconut oil and will eat all of their dry food. It’s a healthy way to getting your dog to start eating again.

The second wikiHow idea is to how to cure headaches with essential oils on the go. Any essential oils are good for your soul, literally! To get rid of headaches on the go, you can make your own home made essential oils roller ball. It’s a way to cure headaches with natural products. To make you need to get any brand of essential oils, frankincense, peppermint and coconut oil. Then you mix together and put the mixture into a glass roller ball, which you can get from anywhere online. You can take the roller ball to work and apply it on your forehead, and let the oils sink into your skin.

The third wikiHow is to how to figure out what factors are causing you to break out. The wikiHow page will be an easy checklist for people to determine what the actual cause of their acne is. There will be different sections as you scroll down the pages of the many factors that cause acne. An example would be a list of factors from wearing makeup. Makeup could be the reason for breaking out, which will follow by makeup brushes, and pillowcases not being washed. Or not using the right face wash for your skin type. Also if you work with food grease, that could cause acne as well.

I hope one of these three wikiHow ideas are eligible to be put onto the wikiHow website. It would be an amazing opportunity to let people know how to do something with Christina’s directions!

The Social Media Monster

Social media has evolved so much in the past ten years, and it will keep on changing as years to come. The first type of social media I can remember was MySpace. My parents wouldn't let me make a MySpace account, so I obeyed their decision, even though my two older sisters rebelled and secretly had their own MySpace accounts! I created a Facebook account years later and that's when Facebook really took off. Facebook was aimed more towards the younger generation, and eventually adults started to jump on board with Facebook. Since I made my Facebook account, there have been multiple social media outlets that have been born over the years. Today there is Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat and many more. Social media over the years has changed the daily life of a human being. Every day, almost every hour, someone is checking their Twitter timeline or posting a picture of what they had for lunch. Social media has become more complex than it used to be, it has a huge control on society. Social media is intrusive in the way that it is pushed on people’s lives. People are now posting everything they want to on social media, and that's scary. There are crazy tweets, pictures and rumors being spread throughout social media like wild fire. People have no filter while posting on their social media accounts, therefore making fools of themselves. People who are using social media have the responsibly to post what they think is appropriate to post. Users on Facebook should really reconsider posting that picture of them doing a keg stand looking drunk as a skunk. Some day that person will apply to a job and if the manager finds that picture in your Facebook photos, you can kiss away the chance of getting that job. An extreme example how social media was used in a negative way was when news reporter Alison Parker and camera man Adam Ward were shot and killed on a live newscast. Parker and Ward were broadcasting their daily morning newscast when an ex co-worker came up to them on live air and shot them both to death. Obviously it was shown on that local TV station, but CNN and other news outlets had that video and posted it on Twitter and Facebook. The video went viral all over Twitter and Facebook of these two human beings getting killed. The video that was shown all over social media was not only graphic but disrespectful to Parkers and Wards family. They are constantly watching their loved ones all over social media and are being remembered by getting killed on camera and not reporting on camera. Social media in the future will dramatically change from how it is now. I hope to see it used for more positive events than negative events. In my opinion, social media is a monster that can’t be tamed, and it will continue to have a negative effect on people’s lives. Social media needs more control.
